Recently, we’ve heard a lot of questions about the Media Player. We know how important this is for your site so we wanted to check in with an update and a sneak peek!
Launch Date: We'll be launching the first stage of the Media Player for CS3 before the end of the year! We'll definitely be making an announcement when this is available.
Phase One: With the new Media Player you'll be able to upload an unlimited amount of Audio and Video items directly onto a Media page. You can now have multiple Media sections on the same page with all Media playing directly on the page! We're super excited to offer a lot higher quality (720p) HD video uploads as well.
Here's a sneak peek of a CS3 Media Page on the Bloom design:
As always, we want to deliver a seamless user experience which is why we're releasing this feature in a few different phases. We're excited to launch the initial phase soon and we can't wait to build upon a great foundation in the months ahead!
Phase Two: The second phase will include the ability to podcast along with other improvements. In the meantime, you can continue to podcast through the Classic Media Player until this is released. We definitely understand that is a critical piece and will be working on this feature right away. We'll also be adding additional sharing and searching features in future releases!
Transition: Because of the difference in quality and conversion, media items won’t automatically transition from your Classic Media Player to your new Media Players. We know many of you have sermon archives that date back multiple years and you've worked really hard to get those uploaded. We know how important it is for many of you to have full access to all your past media, so we’ll continue to host all Classic media for you so you can link to your archive of sermons, and other media from your brand new site!
As always, we'd love to clarify any questions you may have and talk about how we can help. Just leave a comment for us, or give us a call at 805-527-8900. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet @CloverHelps.
