New Year Update
Happy New Year everyone! There are so many good things on the horizon for 2015. Here's a quick look at what happened last year, and an update on where we're headed.
Clover Sites 3
The biggest thing we've been working on is without a doubt Clover Sites 3 - and it was the most productive year we’ve had in terms of developing new things. The vast majority of the new Greenhouse and our entire new platform has been made, and we're now just months away from getting it into your hands.
We're going to continue to give you lots more information and more video walkthroughs of all the new features leading up to launch. That way when it's ready to use, things will already look familiar. And in the next few weeks we'll be launching the first promo site for Clover Sites 3 where you can learn more about this brand new product, and sign up for the Beta list to get more updates and be first to know when it releases.
With that being said, our plans and focus on CS3 doesn't end at launch. We have many new features planned for regular releases throughout the year, including completely new Forms and Calendars, Media Players, and advanced features like CSS control and archived pages, as well as better integrations with Clover Donations and 3rd party tools.
I think especially when we're so focused on Clover Sites 3, we can forget to talk about how things are going for Clover Donations and what it's meant for ministry. In 2014 alone, our customers received just shy of $100,000,000 online to fund their work. Last month alone, we processed $445,000 on average per day, and it’s been awesome to see those numbers grow each month for our customers.
And we're not stopping there. We've been working behind the scenes over the last year on a lot of moving pieces, to move towards making the signup and merchant account process and PCI compliance even easier, and the total cost of accepting credit cards online even more affordable. Unfortunately, that's all we can say about that right now, but we really can't wait to tell you more a little later this year. Stay tuned.
In 2014, we welcomed over 1,800 new customers to the Clover family, and also made some significant updates to the mobile experience for all site designs, as well as releasing a handful of other small improvements throughout the year. One of the biggest things that happened last year with Clover Sites, was something special we did in December that we've never done in the history of Clover. We'll have a post about that next Tuesday from Ben.
Looking ahead through this year, our plan is to continue supporting and updating the current version of Clover Sites - even after the launch of Clover Sites 3. We've felt this for a while, and seeing the response and growth this past year has solidified our belief that the current version will remain a core part of what Clover does for the foreseeable future, and continue to be a great resource for so many ministries. (If you want to see some of our favorite customer sites from 2014, check out the latest Green Thumbs).
Finally, we re-launched Echo in early June of last year, as an iPhone-only app on the App Store. Our goal was to keep things simple and focused: helping you pray. After releasing the iOS version, we quickly designed and built an app for Android and launched it in the Google Play store just a couple months later. Since we launched barely 6 months ago, we're now seeing well over 20,000 people using the new Echo. Over 125,000 prayers have been created and close to 11,000 prayers have been marked as answered.
While this is still a side project for us, we do have a lot of exciting plans for Echo starting a little later this year, including creating features that will let you share prayers with others - both individually and in groups.
I guess what we really want to say in all of this is thanks for being a part of Clover this last year. While this last year was both exciting and tough, we're really stoked about the direction we're headed and love that we get to be a part of what God's doing through your churches and ministries around the world. It's always been our heart and the reason Clover was founded in the first place.
Here's to a great 2015!
